So here I am, all packed, ready to go on a work trip to Hawaii! I feel so blessed to be able to do that. Lately, though I've had some personal stress, I really do feel blessed. I know several others who have been through a lot these past couple of weeks, from births, deaths, and overall trials in life, and I realize I have a lot to be thankful for. I have a good job, an adorable dog, a place to live (which has been one source of the stress), a supportive family, a fun group of friends, a wonderful boyfriend who loves me, and my God who will never leave me or let me down. So I'm going to enjoy this trip to the beautiful island of Kauai and spend some stress-free time there! I wish each and everyone of you could do the same!

Marley & Me
I wanted to put a little plug in for the movie and book, Marley and Me. It is great! I read the book a little while back and I saw the movie last week. It was well worth the almost $10 I spent at the movie theater! It'll make you laugh and cry and whatever stage in life you're at, you can relate to something in the movie. Men can sympathize with providing for a family at a job that isn't fulfilling. Women can sympathize with trying to keep a house in order and maintain some sanity while watching the kids all day. Kids can relate to having siblings and goofing off. And everyone in the family can relate to having a nutty dog, that you wouldn't want to live without. I loved it, and I definitely recommend both the book and the movie. So go see it, then go home and give your doggie a big hug! I know I did with Molly!
By the way, here's an update on sweet blind Molly. She is doing well, but she still bumps into things on a regular basis. Those of you who know Molly, know she is the sweetest dog ever to people, but she isn't very bright. She doesn't quite have the idea of mentally mapping my apartment, Marcus' house, or anyone else's for that matter, so she's always hitting her nose or head on something. I joke that she needs a crash helmet. It doesn't seem to get her down or really phase her in the least though. She's happy, healthy and lovable! Here's a picture of her with grease on her head. Yes, grease, from something on the floor of Marcus' garage....oh well!
