Molly and Moving

Let's see, where do I begin? Lots to report for the last couple of weeks. Molly is doing much better. She is not limping as much and she seems to be quite content in her new house. Our new house is wonderful. It is so much nicer than I could have ever imagined. It is peaceful and quiet and I already feel at home. Right now, I'm listening to the birds in my backyard. I love living in Camarillo and I can't believe what a change this move was. Everything about this move made me feel like God's fingerprints were all over it. I know two couples in the neighborhood, the rent was the same as my apartment, and when I asked my coworkers to help, they all did! The move was so quick and easy it made for a great day. My family was helpful as well. My parents just happened to come into town for the weekend (they had it planned before I decided to move) and we had a nice time together. Here's some pictures of the new house (before furniture).

The backyard, that Molly seems to really like!
My huge bedroom and the atrium inside the house!

Hawaii, Molly, and Moving

I'm back from Hawaii and it was a wonderful trip. I was able to have a day to myself to just find a beautiful beach and relax. It was nice.

When I got back, Molly seemed to have something wrong with her. Her tail was down and she started limping. The vet thinks she hurt her back and she's getting arthritis in her hip, so she's on some medication right now. In the meantime, no stairs for Molly and very little walking. She also seems to be off balance quite a bit, not sure if it's from the medication, the pain in her leg/hip, or just not putting any weight on that leg, but it's a pretty sad sight. Hopefully she'll get better soon. Being blind is bad enough, but limping around too just isn't fair.

So...it's a good thing that my new place doesn't have any stairs for Molly! Yep, after 8 years of living in my 3-story apartment, I'm finally moving into a rental house. It has a yard for Molly and it's nice and big and in a quiet neighborhood in Camarillo (except for the train that comes by every once in a while). I'm excited to have something new! I get the keys this weekend! Woohoo!
