Friday, I took my little sister, Erin, to see Journey to the Center of the Earth. If you like Brendan Fraser action movies, this one will be right up your alley. Friday night, I watched the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics. I stayed up as long as I could, but missed the end.
Saturday morning was another long run day. We did 13 miles. I walked part of it, but I still finished with a pretty good time, so I'm not too worried about the marathon. I know I can do it now! I am very ready to be done with these long runs though! Less than 3 weeks left.
Saturday night, I had a Girl's Night out with some friends from church. We went down to Laguna Beach for The Pageant of the Masters. What is it you ask? From the website -
"Ninety minutes of "living pictures" - incredibly faithful art re-creations of classical and contemporary works with real people posing to look exactly like their counterparts in the original pieces. An outdoor amphitheater, professional orchestra, original score, live narration, intricate sets, sophisticated lighting, expert staff, and hundreds of dedicated volunteers have won recognition for the Pageant as the best presentation of its kind."
Sunday was teaching the kids at church and going to church. Then a long nap...then more Olympics....then rest!
